Growing Together
The Hudson Library Strategic Planning Committee recently embarked on a comprehensive needs assessment to better understand the evolving priorities of our community. Through an in-depth community survey, we gathered invaluable insights into the areas that matter most to our residents:
Work & Study Spaces
The Hudson Library is an essential resource for students, professionals, and local organizations, offering reliable internet access and private meeting rooms for study and collaboration. We will expand and improve these spaces to better serve our patrons.
Furniture & Shelving
Many of our furniture and shelving systems are outdated. By replacing them with new, functional options, we will create a more inviting environment, enhancing the overall library experience.
Young Adult Spaces
With limited safe spaces for young adults in our community, we will provide an inviting and engaging area just for them—a place where they can study, socialize, and feel comfortable in their own space.
Outdoor Spaces
By utilizing more of the library’s existing property, we will build additional outdoor meeting areas, including a covered pavilion, scenic trails, benches, and landscaped spaces to enjoy the natural beauty of our surroundings.
